What Do People See in Vacation Mode?

Hi all. As you may have heard, I'm going to be gone for a while. So, how do I 1) preserve my profile, 2) keep my things here, and 3) block people from seeing my profile until I return. So, if I put my profile in vacation mode, will accomplish the three items outlined above?
